The Materials Development Engineer is responsible for the technical oversight, specifications, and approval of raw materials used for manufacturing final products. This role develops and maintains raw material specifications, creates and manages container drawings and documentations, and administers the qualification and approval of new raw materials. The Materials Development Engineer is part of the design team and works cross-functionally with Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, R&D, and suppliers to ensure materials meet technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.
