About The Position

Amsted Automotive Group, Powder Metal Division, Beaver Dam, WI is looking for a
Materials Coordinator to manage raw material throughout the plant. The role will
manage powder inventory, receive powder trucks, prep powder for press, and
manage scrap disposal. In addition to managing the powder room, they will help
assist the materials team on the shipping/receiving dock. 1st Shift 6:30am –
3:00pm Monday – Friday.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively based on department needs.
• Ability to walk/stand continuously throughout the shift.
• A positive attitude and the willingness to be a team player.
• The ability to lift and/or carry up to 40#.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with forklifts, other material handling equipment, and shipping/receiving is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy of inventory levels for raw materials.
• Receive powder raw materials.
• Prepare raw materials for production in accordance with the press schedule.
• Manage and track disposal of green and sintered scrap.
• Issue material to manufacturing personnel and record in system.
• Perform necessary recordkeeping and paperwork.
• Participate in department physical inventory process.
• Help train and assist operators as required.
• Seek help if problems arise and ask questions if you don’t understand.
• Participate in team problem solving as part of the departmental continuous improvement process.
• Use various testing devices, chemicals and material moving equipment according to appropriate guidelines and procedures.
• Follow all safety rules and keep work area clean and in an orderly condition.
• Wear all personal protective equipment as required by the safety policy.
• Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools.
• Support and participate in the departmental structure of self-directed work teams.
• Understand and perform to the BN Quality Policy taking pride in the products produced.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
