About The Position

Maneuver trailers: Move trailers to and from loading docks and yards. Essential Functions & Responsibilities The operation of the Yard Dog truck follows all safety guidelines! Effectively communicates with the truck unloaders on priority of trailers to dock to keep production flowing. Follow safe trailer navigation into dock doors. Responsible for fueling of Yard Dog truck and refrigerated trailers. Must keep inventory of all drop trailers on the lot. Perform hourly temp checks on all drop trailers inside plant grounds. Ability to obtain certifications on all Material Handling Equipment to assist in the warehouse as needed. The ability to navigate large vehicles through tight spaces and among other trucks, equipment, and people in a safe manner. Assist with the trailer docking process and conduct inspections on trailers. Manage equipment: Handle incoming and outgoing equipment. Communicate: Connect with other staff to ensure the smooth movement of goods. Unload materials from trucks and trailers following safety protocols

Requirements

  • Prior truck driving experience.
  • Must be able to be certified on ALL material handling equipment used at the Kirksville facility!
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record are what we are looking for
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a yard truck or similar equipment
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability, stand, bend, climb stairs and to lift up to 50 pounds
