About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Materials Control Worker to join our team at Burlington, NC. This position will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders of medical lab supplies and products. Work Schedule: First Shift, Tuesday-Saturday 8:00am to 4:30pm Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory control and cycle counts
  • Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous medical or production experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Place orders for supplies from vendors via computer and telephone
  • Load and unload supplies from trucks and verify packing slips
  • Receive and process stock into inventory management system
  • Process orders from client offices and patient service centers via phone, fax and email
  • Print requisition forms and barcode labels for internal and external clients
  • Pack orders for shipment via various shipping methods such as Fed Ex & UPS
  • Resolve all customer concerns efficiently and timely
  • Maintain inventory control according to company standards
  • Participate in scheduled cycle counts and full physical inventory
  • Deliver supplies to local branches, clients and patient service centers when needed
