The position provides functional and administrative support within the Materials Control function as assigned. Responsibilities include coordinating material requirements and delivery schedules with functional and project management, communicating status updates and change requests as required, and reviewing work schedules, inventory levels, material requisitions, and delivery status to ensure necessary supplies of material and supplies at supported locations when needed. The role also involves requisitioning material, establishing sequential delivery dates according to priorities and material availability, examining material delivered to verify conformance to specifications, and arranging transfer of materials to meet schedules. Additionally, the position may provide guidance to less experienced personnel as assigned and maintain accuracy of information in computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process reports, and status and location of materials. The role requires computer skills and proficiency using email, Microsoft Office, or specialized applications (e.g., maintaining data in USG AIS) as necessary to perform assigned job functions. The employee may be required to operate light and medium equipment, including MHE, to perform assigned job duties. Duties are performed in accordance with various Army regulations and manuals, and other duties may be assigned.
