About The Position

Fabletics is currently looking for a Materials & Color Development Intern (Summer 2026) How do you fit in? This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in textiles or product development who is passionate about fabrics, trims, and color and interested in how strong systems and processes support great product. This position is designed for someone who appreciates the creative process but is also energized by the technical and operational side of development. You will help strengthen how materials and color are developed, organized, and managed across teams. What you will do: Support fabric, trim, and color development initiatives Assist in maintaining and improving physical and digital material libraries Analyze development data using Excel and PLM Partner cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, Technical Design, and Sourcing Help document and improve development processes Contribute to strategic initiatives related to quality, efficiency, and innovation In this role you can expect to learn: The end-to-end fabric, trim, and color development lifecycle in an apparel company How materials are engineered to balance performance, cost, quality, and brand vision How cross-functional teams collaborate to bring product to market How data, tools, and process impact speed, efficiency, and decision-making How to communicate technical material knowledge clearly across teams

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a rising junior or senior.
  • Textile, Textile Design, Product Development, or Sourcing Major preferred
  • Strong understanding of knit and woven fabrics
  • Passion for materials, trims, and color
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Analytical and curious mindset
  • Clear communicator and strong team collaborator
  • Microsoft Office proficient (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
  • YOU MUST BE A RISING JUNIOR OR RISING SENIOR (graduating in 2027 or 2028) UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT ENROLLED AT AN ACCREDITED UNIVERSITY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS INTERNSHIP
