About The Position

The Materials Clerk is responsible with assisting the Materials Manager with the following: Purchasing, supply distribution and receiving. During the execution of these duties the following specific tasks will be completed.

Responsibilities

  • Counts, sorts and documents incoming receipts to verify delivery and requisition accuracy as compared to packing lists and invoices.
  • Examines stock to verify count accuracy and expiration compliance.
  • Inventories items in bins, floor or shelves according to identifying information such as style, size or type of material.
  • Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Fills orders or issues stock from inventory based on department needs and requisition requests.
  • Prepares periodic inventory of stock in the storeroom and outlying departments based on Par approvals.
  • Compiles analysis and reports on use of stock items, adjustments to inventory, expiration or spoilage of stock, usage of specific items to determine correct Par levels.
  • Accurately documents all functions related to maintaining accurate inventory storage and distribution.
  • Makes adjustments to inventory as required.
  • Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments.
  • Follows safety standards in all aspect of performance of the above functions.
  • Maintains all required safety education programs as prescribed by MMH.
  • In addition to the responsibilities described above, the role may include other responsibilities and duties as assigned on occasion, based upon MMH needs or requirements.

  • Demonstrate an ability to function successfully in a team environment.
