About The Position

The PC&L Associate is responsible for loading and unloading materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and trailers. The operator is responsible for following the job responsibilities within the plant and/or warehouse while operating in a fast-paced environment: Loads product, unloads product, receives product, ships product, moves materials at elevated heights, and issues material using system transactions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 3 months of Powered Industrial Truck experience required.
  • Active Forklift Certification License preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems preferred.
  • Experience in fast-paced industrial lean environment preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SAP Inventory software.
  • Experience with Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Responsibilities

  • Safely perform all tasks assigned by Leadership including all positions within the Physical Logistics department.
  • Safely operate all equipment to which the individual is certified (e.g., Sit-down Forklifts, Stand Up Lifts, Tuggers, Electric Jacks).
  • Read and understand work instructions and/or follow oral instructions to execute the material flow requirements.
  • Manually load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves on foot and by hand as required.
  • Accurately and timely enter materials transactional information into SAP and other systems as required.
  • Read electronic and manual bill of materials, pull sheets, pick sheets to retrieve and deliver necessary materials for operations.
  • Support 5S / Housekeeping activities as required.
  • Use appropriate deviation areas, hold tags, to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure.
  • Load/Unload materials into trailers adhering to Dock Safety Protocol.
  • Meet physical logistics KPI's, Associate Engagement and Teamwork.
  • Adhere to FIFO standards throughout all storage areas and material flow points.
  • Wear all required PPE and follow box cutting safety protocols.
