About The Position

The Materials Associate at BorgWarner is responsible for the efficient loading and unloading of materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and trailers. This role requires adherence to safety protocols while operating various equipment in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and accurate material handling and data entry.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3 months of Powered Industrial Truck experience required.
• Active Forklift Certification License preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced industrial lean environment preferred.
• Proficient in SAP Inventory software, Excel Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform all tasks assigned by Leadership within the Physical Logistics department.
• Operate certified equipment such as sit-down forklifts, stand-up lifts, tuggers, and electric jacks.
• Manually load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves.
• Accurately enter materials transactional information into SAP and other systems.
• Read and interpret electronic and manual bill of materials, pull sheets, and pick sheets.
• Support 5S/Housekeeping activities as required.
• Process defective parts through nonconforming material procedures using appropriate deviation areas and hold tags.
• Load/unload materials into trailers while adhering to Dock Safety Protocol.
• Meet physical logistics KPIs, Associate Engagement, and Teamwork standards.
• Adhere to FIFO standards throughout all storage areas and material flow points.
• Wear required PPE and follow box cutting safety protocols.
