About The Position

The Materials Associate performs a variety of manual/administrative tasks associated with inventory control, stockroom, kitting, expediting, shipping and receiving operations in accordance with established procedures. What You will Do: Receives, checks, stores, issues and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control. Uses assistance and/or powered mechanical means (not to include forklifts or high bay vehicles) to load, unload, store and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material. Prepares and packages small and large parts using proper procedures and materials. Proficiently uses computer hardware/software. Oversees parts preparation, material handling, measuring and packaging equipment, records calibration logs of tools and equipment. Performs operator preventative maintenance tasks and refers major breakdowns to machine maintenance. Maintains contact with personnel from various customers and supports areas to ensure accuracy of material/process. Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices. Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean. Performs related duties as required within the scope of this job function. 1st shift; Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a HS diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Valid Drivers License.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer skills.
  • SAP experience.
  • Forklift operation and pallet jack experience.
  • Stockroom or warehouse experience
  • Experience filing customs paperwork
