About The Position
Under the supervision of the Materials & Stores Supervisor II, this position is assigned to the Clothing Distribution Center and will be responsible for the supervision of inmates. Issues and distributes supplies/clothing to various areas of the institution. Establish a delivery system to ensure efficient operation. Maintain a storage area to cover clothing supplies. Regulate the distribution of clothing items so proper accounting records are maintained. Set and maintain an adequate stock for institutional use and be constantly alert to the stock levels of various supplies. Reorder stock according to usage to maintain set stock levels. Conduct monthly physical inventories as mandated by State policy and Institutional Procedures. Prepare records and reports pertaining to supplies ordered, received, and used. Inspect storage area for safety, fire hazards, water damage, rodent and insect control, theft, and/or loss and sanitary conditions. Conduct safety training sessions in the use of equipment within the Clothing Distribution Center. Prepare and maintain current timekeeping records for the inmate workers supervised. Attend all training, meetings, and seminars as needed or required. Perform other related duties.
