You will be joining the Materials & Processes Engineering group. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7+ years of industry experience
  • Familiarity and a strong background in material manufacturing processes, material testing processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Candidate must be capable of performing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and team environment
  • Candidate must have strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills for generating M&P support documentation, material plans, material and process reports, and potential proposals are necessary
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering/Science
  • Experience with Materials and Processess associated with electronics assemblies and components
  • Experience supporting M&P activities for full assemblies, down to subassemblies and components
  • Experience supporting failure review boards and working towards corrective action
  • Familiarity with programs at MFC or experience working with US Govt DOD customers
  • Familiarity with evaluating and developing material and specifications
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, machine drawings, 2-D drawings, CAD drawings and material callouts and/or material processing note

Responsibilities

  • Developing and optimizing materials and surface treatment solutions for engineering applications.
  • Performing failure analyses, life prediction modeling, and material property development to support reliability goals.
  • Authoring clear technical documentation and contributing data packages for design reviews and customer deliverables.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams-including product development, analysis groups, and production - to translate requirements into manufacturable solutions.
  • Generating and releasing engineering drawings and related documentation using Windchill and other PLM tools.
  • Supporting test planning, execution, and results interpretation to validate material performance.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and sharing best practices across the organization.
