About the position
The Procurement Analyst position at Raytheon involves supporting commodity procurements for internal customers across the enterprise. The role serves as a communication focal point between programs and suppliers, managing contract quotation activities, supplier selection, and negotiations. The analyst will also handle post-award activities and ensure compliance with company requirements while utilizing standard computer systems for supplier management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the focal point for communication between the programs and suppliers.
- Perform activities related to contract quotation activities.
- Assist with selecting suppliers and alternate suppliers.
- Provide support during supplier negotiations (price, schedules, and terms & conditions, including software licenses).
- Manage post-award activities in accordance with company requirements and work instructions.
- Review and negotiate terms and conditions and make recommendations of final Raytheon position to Subject Matter Expert and/or Supply Chain Advisor and Office of General Counsel.
- Place and process purchase orders of low to medium complexity across various business units.
- Frequently communicate with internal customers and suppliers.
- Filter information from multiple sources used to make process improvement recommendations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a procurement/buyer role.
Nice-to-haves
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
