About The Position

Summary: Entry to mid-entry level Materials Analyst position. Responsible for managing the material supply line from supplier to end customer. This includes maintenance of item master parameters in the ERP system, communication of any potential supply interruptions, general management of assigned suppliers, and the achievement of raw material inventory turns and dollar value goals. Responsibilities: The Materials Analyst is Responsible for communication and coordination of parts requirements to the supply base to support customer demand. Maintains ERP system for all Material functional areas such as Item Master, BOM, ship to locations, and inventory parameters Assist in coordination and analysis of material in support of inventory build-outs and start-ups of new programs. Cross-training in all production control functions for replacement as needed. Maintenance of all material receipts in helping to maintain an accurate perpetual inventory reporting system. Advise and assist staff (Operations, Production, Production Control, and Purchasing) by periodic analysis and reporting of expedited shipments, supplier rating systems, and monthly inventory levels. Assist in the decision-making process for critical material shortages. Utilize methods for continuous improvement. Tracks component inventory inaccuracies for root cause identification and corrective action(s). Responsible for ensuring the issue(s) are corrected Responsible for performing daily cycle counts and reconciliation of inventory variances Responsible to track the status of supplier communication for engineering changes as proposed by program management Responsible for reporting daily on all key performance measures of the materials department, including inventory valuation, cycle counts and inventory accuracy, and past-due parts. Must be willing to report unsafe conditions, report unsafe acts, participate in safety/ergo committees, participate in safety Kaizen events, participate in blue sky initiatives, participate in safety audits, and participate in safety observation feedback events. Assist the plant in achieving safety goals and achieving and maintaining AMS objectives. Participate in communications events such as plant-wide meetings, line meetings, department meetings, and training exercises. Will follow and promote environmental management system compliance and commitment to resource conservation. Education and Experience: College Degree or equivalent 2+ years Production Control with material coordination emphasis. Requirements

  • College Degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years Production Control with material coordination emphasis
  • Knowledgeable with ERP systems

Nice To Haves

  • QAD is Preferred
  • Previous experience in Automotive / J-I-T plants preferred
