About The Position

Receives, issues, returns, and maintains materials and material inventory in Regional Service Center storerooms and warehouses. Performs material related activities to fill requisitions for materials and coordinates tools and equipment to support work. This is a union position and is located at PPL's West Shore service center.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent.
Successful completion of the PPL Logistics Aptitude Test or its replacement.
Possess a valid Class “C” motor vehicle operator’s license.
Adequate physical ability to perform manual work associated with job duties.

Responsibilities

Uses software and associated hardware devices provided to effectively perform the Material Worker duties as defined in this job description.
Picks, packs, delivers, and ships materials, tools, and any other items or material as requested.
Receives material in warehouse and performs the receipt of material in the current system.
Processes returns.
Stocks material in warehouse.
Organize and maintain the materials in the Service Center laydown yard.
Pick, organize, and bin materials to support upcoming jobs.
Conducts inventory checks and cycle counts as directed.
Use powered industrial lift trucks to move material.
Operates common hand tools, banding machine, hand coiling machine, scales, and other tools as necessary to complete material work.
Performs such other related duties as assigned or as necessary.
