About The Position

Mueller Company (Mueller Co.), the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, has an opening for a Materials Specialist position based in our Cleveland, TN Facility. The primary function of this position is responsible for delivering supplies and materials to necessary departments. Prepare materials for the next stage in process while maintaining inventory control and records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• 2+ years of shipping experience in a manufacturing/warehouse setting.
• Fluency in MRP systems and devices.
• Forklift experience.
• Adhere to all safety and quality policies.
• Familiarity with inventory and scales.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work orders.
• Ability to multitask, self-motivated, and work with little to no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Unload, move, and store a variety of materials, parts, or products using standardized procedures.
• Move materials between departments: follow routing or tickets to fill orders from storage, stock, or other departments.
• Identify, count (including weigh count), record, and keep like parts together.
• Prep materials for the next stage in process: place materials on pallets, trays, racks, etc., install strapping, bracing, or padding.
• Maintain inventory controls and records as defined in standard work utilizing MRP systems and devices.
• Perform cycle counts and other related duties.
• Operate a power lift truck, hand truck, pallet jack, or other manual or powered devices.
• Wear the proper PPE for each task given.
• Perform other related duties as directed.
