About The Position
The Material Specialist is responsible for receiving, inspecting, grading, and documenting incoming materials. This role combines physical labor with administrative tasks and requires strict adherence to safety and industry standards.
Requirements
- Valid forklift operator license
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Computer/tablet/printer proficiency
- Strong warehouse operations experience
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of non-ferrous materials
Responsibilities
- Inspect and grade materials according to ISRI/WSR standards
- Verify incoming materials with packing lists & shipping documents
- Record materials on WSR documentation
- Enter data into the ROM system & produce ROM tickets
- Label all packages correctly
- Report discrepancies and follow safety protocols
