About The Position

The Material Specialist position at Elwood Staffing involves managing materials within a warehouse environment, ensuring efficient processing and maintenance of work orders, and supporting production through material kit assembly. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Minimum of 1-year experience in a material management capacity in a manufacturing environment
• Familiar with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
• Strong computer skills (MS Office, Windows XP, Outlook)
• Ability to apply mathematical principles to solve complex problems, analyze data, and make informed decisions

Responsibilities

• Processes and maintains work order statuses
• Builds material kits for Production
• Performs material receipt transactions and reconciliation adjustments with accounts payable or purchasing and stockroom material issuance against work orders
• Executes and resolves cycle count variances and investigates and determines remediation plans for inventory/material variances and shortages
• Acts in cross functional roles which may include expediting, PC/IC clerk material handlers, shipping and receiving, cycle counting and stock room functions
• Perform other related duties as assigned
