About The Position

Cannon Muskegon, a division of Precision Castparts Corp., is seeking a dedicated individual to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safety and compliance with all company and regulatory EH&S policies. This role involves unloading and verifying incoming materials, making proper GLOVIA transactions, and delivering materials as necessary. The candidate will also load and verify outgoing materials, prepare and inspect materials according to standard procedures, and maintain warehouse accuracy. Additional responsibilities include performing routine maintenance on equipment and maintaining good housekeeping practices. The position requires a team player who can collaborate effectively with various departments and is available for overtime without advance notice.

Requirements

  • High School graduate, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Foundry or manufacturing experience in a related occupation preferred.
  • Aptitude for numerical accuracy.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Computer data entry skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a powered industrial truck.
  • Ability to read work instructions.
  • Physical capability to work in extreme heat stress environments.
  • Ability to perform heavy manual duties and operate various machinery.
  • Ability to stand for 8+ hours, twist, and bend.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs regularly.
  • Multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely and adhere to all company and regulatory EH&S policies and procedures.
  • Unload and verify incoming materials, making proper GLOVIA transactions.
  • Load and verify outgoing materials, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Prepare, clean, and inspect material as per standard procedures and quality manuals.
  • Weigh-up, prepare, and furnish both air and vacuum materials to the proper furnace staging area.
  • Maintain warehouse accuracy by updating material weights and locations.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Collaborate with vacuum, air, and technical personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
