Requirements

• Sophomore or Junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or related Engineering Discipline.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• High degree of personal initiative.
• Excellent organization and planning skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and a diverse culture.
• No travel limitations.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Experience in corrosion testing or failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support efforts to identify appropriate materials of construction for new chemical manufacturing processes.
• Assist with literature searches on existing material applications.
• Set up corrosion coupons and analyze results in the lab.
• Make materials of construction recommendations based on testing results and available economic data.
• Conduct failure analysis in the lab.
• Help develop Mechanical Integrity programs for existing manufacturing processes.
• Work together across teams and manufacturing sites.
• Travel for field investigations.
