As an Material Resource Planning Controller (MRPC) - Make, you will have accountability for a portfolio of parts, resolving exception messages and putting in place credible plans underpinned with the commitment acceptance process. There are 4 Ms in manufacturing (Material, Method, Manpower, Machines) and this role is responsible for Material. You will track and work to expedite raw material and will communicate completion dates with all customers (internal and external). This role is responsible for reviewing our customer demand and controlling the flow of material on the shop floor in order to meet customer needs. You will ensure shortages in material and delivery performance are understood and communicated with appropriate recovery plans put in SAP.

  • Responsible for the ERP compliance and data integrity of their materials
  • Understanding the principles of load and capacity planning, including the implications of any actions taken on the business
  • Reporting responsibility for some aspect of the MRPC role within the group
  • Able to chair ERP Compliance sessions with team members
  • Broad based business knowledge and experience that enables them to provide support and guidance to the team
  • Key user for a specific MRPC process, e.g. inventory
  • Articulate in non-technical speak the implications and risks of particular actions
  • Associate degree with 4+ years of experience in Material Planning, OR
  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in Material Planning, OR
  • Master's degree, OR JD/PhD, OR
  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in Material Planning
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Work independently within a defined boundary and able to train others and act as a key user within the team to help resolve issues
  • Sound and comprehensive communication skills, exchanging complicated information and influencing others to achieve results
  • Coaches junior members of the team
  • Communicate and operate at different levels of the organization, tailor style to the audience
