About The Position

Assists the fabrication department by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Assists other machine operators with fabrication duties. · Unloads materials, parts, or products onto or from lasers, pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks and identifies each load with the job number. · Apply rust preventative to fabricated parts when necessary. · Removes burrs or excess metal from fabricated parts. · Plans assembly procedures following specifications. · Drills, taps, or reams holes. · Align components, bolts, screws, and/or rivets them together. · Tests or helps in testing operation of completed product. · Cleans and organizes work area. · Secures job assignment from lead/supervisor as needed to ensure production flow based on production calendar. · Strives to increase technical skills required to perform all job duties, to include welding. · Abide by all company policies and safety rules. · Must qualify to operate a forklift safely. · Must work well with others and possess good people skills. · Ability to read and interpret instructions. · Work with welders to retrieve parts as needed in their process to improve efficiency. · Perform all other duties as assigned. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to understand and perform detailed written and/or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Requirements
