About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) for the Raytheon AIM-9X program. This individual contributor role is a great opportunity for someone looking to work directly with the supply base. This role requires knowledge of the material requirements planning (MRP) process with practical knowledge of project and material management. In this role you will learn and further develop your knowledge of manufacturing, material requirements planning and business acumen within a matrixed organization. You will develop and execute a material program strategy/plan for a program or integrated product team. The successful candidate will influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with parties external to the organization and company. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, budgeting and financial management, issue and conflict resolution.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant supply chain experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years relevant supply chain experience
  • Commitment to obtain MPM certification after experience in the role

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Experience with a combination of experience in Project, Program, Product, Finance or Supplier Management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Leadership and the ability to work in an IPT environment
  • Self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management
  • Must be able to succeed in the high stress, fast paced environment of development

Responsibilities

  • Overall supply chain ownership of key suppliers
  • Develop and execute strategies to perform and meet the Program’s needs
  • Lead robust and challenging negotiations to meet the Program objectives
  • Provide accurate forecasting and realization of sales and additional financial metrics
