About The Position

At Boston Scientific, as part of our integrated supplier engineering organization, the Material Program Manager (MPM) plays a vital role in aligning newly acquired teams and technologies with Boston Scientific’s supply chain strategies. You’ll serve as the bridge between Global Sourcing, Acquisition & Integration as well as Next Gen (NPD) teams, helping to streamline material readiness and mitigate risk during product integration and innovation phases. This role is accountable for ensuring that materials and suppliers are aligned to meet business, technical, and regulatory needs as we bring new and next-generation products to market—whether originating internally or through recent acquisitions. This role is to support integration of a high growth, new revenue stream manufactured across multiple geographies and distributed globally. Boston Scientific values connection and shared purpose. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder & cross-functional projects across distributed or newly integrated team

Responsibilities

  • Develop a robust understanding of both legacy and newly acquired product portfolios, their critical design features, supplier landscapes, logistics strategies, and value propositions.
  • Drive identification and resolution of key risks to Quality, Service and Cost.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders—including PMO, R&D, Product Development, and integration teams—to identify risks and implement material action plans.
  • Operate confidently in the "grey space"—navigating ambiguity, conflicting priorities, and evolving requirements to maintain momentum and alignment.
  • Act as a technical liaison, leveraging your subject matter expertise to influence design for manufacturability, process optimization, and supply chain readiness.
  • Build and deepen knowledge of critical components and supplier capabilities, especially those newly integrated through acquisition.
  • Lead and execute supplier management and onboarding initiatives, including risk mitigation, contingency planning, and project scheduling.
  • Proactively identify and resolve roadblocks, maintain alignment with stakeholders, and keep integration programs on track.
  • Support resource planning and anticipate project requirement changes as product lines evolve or merge.
  • Drive production readiness for new components and cost efficiency across both existing and newly acquired supply chains.
  • Partner with procurement and integration teams to ensure timely material availability and supplier onboarding.
  • Promote continuous improvement across the Material Program Management (MPM) function to support the full product lifecycle—including newly transitioned products.
