About The Position

The Maritime System Division (MSD) of Leidos’ is seeking a Materials Requisitioner / Planner in the Long Beach, MS facility in a growing, fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities Manage the fulfillment acquisition process. Create purchase requisitions in CostPoint. Communicate effectively with DOD industry suppliers and cultivate meaningful relationships. Manage Leidos required supplier paperwork. Collaborate with product engineering, production planning, purchasing and quality teams for mission success. Track supplier on time delivery. Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation. Maintain purchasing records and purchasing BOM status. Data analysis. Understand production flow. Create, open and close manufacturing orders. Other administrative duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant procurement experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MRP knowledge or experience (Costpoint)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exposure to supply chain and commodity management in DFAR environment.
  • Strong customer interface skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Individuals must possess strong characteristics around initiative, attitude, assertiveness and sense of urgency
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be a US Citizen and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • DoD or Military contract experience
  • Supply chain experience.
  • Experience using Solumina.
  • Experience using Windchill
  • Ability to read mechanical drawing and data sheets
