Material Processing Operator (1st Shift starting at $19.98/hour)

In this role, you will prepare, mix, and package filter materials by following detailed work instructions and safety procedures. This position is hands-on and plays an important role in ensuring product quality and safe operations.
Requirements
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions
- Basic math skills for weighing and measuring materials
- Experience working in manufacturing or with industrial mixers, bulk bags, or powdered materials preferred
- Forklift or pallet jack experience (or willingness to be trained)
- Ability and willingness to wear required PPE
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.
- Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in manufacturing or with industrial mixers, bulk bags, or powdered materials preferred
- Forklift or pallet jack experience (or willingness to be trained)
Responsibilities
- Follow mix instructions and log sheets to ensure correct materials, quantities, and labeling
- Load and prepare raw materials (bulk and bagged) into mixing equipment
- Operate scales, hoppers, bulk bag systems, and mixers to measure and transfer materials accurately
- Wear required PPE (such as Tyvek suits, respirators, safety blades, etc.) and follow all safety guidelines
- Monitor mixing equipment and refill materials as needed to keep production running
- Start up, run, and shut down equipment according to standard work instructions
- Transfer finished mixes into bulk bags and ensure they are properly secured and labeled
- Move materials safely using pallet jacks and overhead cranes
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Communicate with team leads as needed regarding safety, procedures, or equipment setup
