About The Position

The Material Process Operator (MPO) is responsible for the production of cat litter and may work in the Mixing and/or Production departments. This role involves working a 12-hour shift from 4:30 PM to 5:00 AM, Thursday through Saturday, and every 3rd Sunday. The starting pay for this position is $25.01 per hour, plus a $1.75 shift differential.

Requirements

• Ability to work with heavy stationary and/or moving equipment and conveyors
• Strong concentration on tasks and awareness of overall operation
• Basic computer skills for data entry and monitoring instrumentation

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading and transporting raw materials, equipment and supplies from semi-trailers and railcars
• Tending to and operating machines that package products
• Adding and removing supplies and/or product from the line
• Inspecting product before, during and after filling by performing quality checks
• Making equipment adjustments and clearing jams on equipment
• Operating the palletizer
• Entering data in computer and monitoring the instrumentation including computer data entry
• Troubleshooting the pneumatic, mechanical and electrical equipment when malfunctions occur
• Providing routine and preventative maintenance
• Providing housekeeping to the work area
• Preparing reports, training manuals and conducting training sessions, as needed
