About The Position

The position involves utilizing various production equipment for metal preparation processes. The role requires adherence to safety and health guidelines while maintaining the quality and traceability of materials used in production. Regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment are also essential responsibilities.

Requirements

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in metal preparation process
• Able to work in fast-paced environment and ability to multi-task
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities.
• Must be able to pass fit test on respirator (no beards)
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays, as required
• Ability to work standing for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Utilize production equipment as needed. Example: (Tumble Blaster, Hand Blast Cabinets, parts washers, and down draft tables)
• Blast, clean and apply appropriate bonding primer and bonding agent in accordance with work instructions.
• Maintain traceability of materials used for production orders and properly account for work completed within the operating system and on the production work order.
• Maintain and conduct regular cleaning of departmental equipment as directed and outlined by equipment manual and HSE guidelines.
• Properly store and maintain the hazardous and flammable materials in proper storage cabinet as required by HSE Policy, Materials MSDS and State and Government requirements while maintaining a FIFO process.
• Properly safeguard processed materials from contamination in seals plastic bags, boxes, or covered totes while staged and pending molding process.
