About The Position

The Materials Planning and Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations while also managing materials planning to ensure production schedules are met efficiently and cost-effectively. This role ensures accurate inventory management, effective material handling, and timely support of manufacturing needs. By combining operational oversight with proactive planning, the supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining the seamless flow of materials from receipt through storage, kitting, and shipment, while enforcing safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of Warehouse Supervisor experience.
  • Previous warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in industrial or HVAC equipment preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience required.
  • Experience with ERP systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or business
  • Forklift certification and familiarity with material handling equipment

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, staging, kitting, and shipping of materials and finished goods.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of components to production lines to meet manufacturing schedules.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Train, mentor, and manage warehouse staff to ensure performance, productivity, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to streamline material flow and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Oversee the handling and storage of heavy and large-scale components specific to chiller manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain materials requirement plans (MRP) to align with production schedules and customer demand.
  • Analyze demand forecasts, production plans, and inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and components.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials, avoiding shortages or excess inventory.
  • Balance inventory investment with service level requirements to optimize working capital.
  • Use and maintain ERP/WMS systems to track inventory and transactions.
  • Monitor and report on warehouse KPIs such as order accuracy, inventory turns, and on-time delivery.
  • Assist with planning space utilization and layout improvements for increased efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
