Where You Will Work In operation since 2007, Safford operations is a zero-discharge facility and one of the most sustainable mines in the United States. What You Will Do Responsible for proactively compiling, monitoring and managing Collaborative Planning report to ensure adequate stocking levels / recognize shortages and deficiencies, in support of customers in maintenance, planning and operations. Receive and review a wide variety of requisitions. May support one or more specialized areas requiring an increased depth of knowledge. Responsible for communicating/expediting urgent customer requirements from maintenance, planning and operations to GSC Shared Services and working in the GSC Shared Services Model. Obtain quotes from key suppliers using parts information from customers in maintenance, planning and operations, monitor supplier performance, and lead supplier evaluations. Interview vendors to obtain information concerning product/service, price, availability and delivery date. Collaborate with assigned customer departments in maintenance, planning and operations to ensure needs are understood, documented, validated and requirements are met. Discuss defects with quality control/inspection personnel to determine source of defect and initiate corrective action. Analyzes data to perform root cause analysis on issues that impact inventory performance and initiate appropriate corrective actions. Review bid proposals from vendors and recommend or enter into contracts within limits of delegated authority. Communicate master data changes and additions (MARS) to appropriate groups such as BOM, equipment and material master data on behalf of customers in maintenance, planning and operations. Maintain records of purchased items, cost, delivery, performance and inventory and approve bills for payments within limits of delegated authority. Ensure adherence to General Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial laws (SEC), Company policies, internal controls (SOX) and Principles of Business Conduct (PBC) etc. Perform other duties as assigned.
