About The Position

We are recruiting for a Material Planning Manager. The Material Planning Manager is to support the company's strategic goals. This includes making sure assigned materials are delivered on time for current products, new product launches, and updates. The person in this role will manage the purchasing process for these materials and help control inventory to support company profits. They will also ensure the materials meet quality and availability standards to keep internal and external customers satisfied. Additionally, they will help recruit, develop, and retain skilled team members for future growth. The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or similiar with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, must have 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have strong communication, analytical and math skills. Strong computer skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Sourcing, contract management, material planning and experience working with packaging graphics and artwork preferred.
  • CPM a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain material requirements plans to ensure uninterrupted supply of assigned materials while minimizing investment.
  • Perform supplier qualification and certification, performance evaluation, material plan preparation and execution, purchase order preparation.
  • Coordinate material availability to support new packages, products or processes.
  • Maintain all packaging specifications for specified product types.
  • Ensure compliance with all company requirements within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Recruit, develop and retain talented associates for future growth and diversification.
  • Leverage existing technology and recommend best value systems to competitively manage all direct materials as measured by improving.
