About The Position
This position will be responsible for leading the process of consolidating material needs across the M&B network, releasing purchase orders, coordinating deployment, and managing inventories of assigned direct ingredient and packaging categories in order to meet plant production requirements and optimize network inventory levels. Will provide process ownership for delivering the network's inventory management strategies while reducing excess materials, expedited freight, and unnecessary interplant movements. To complete these responsibilities, this position will optimize the use of SAP's MRP functionality and leverage the benefits of centralized ordering (e.g. hitting better pricing tiers) to optimize inventory and reduce cost. Will work closely with the Local Materials Representatives to address delivery/supply issues, handle transitions, and dispose of obsolescence. Will work closely with WHQ commercialization teams, business ops managers, etc to manage transitions and new product launches.
