About The Position

North Star Scientific Corporation (NSS) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Production Planner/Buyer to support our manufacturing operations. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in production planning, purchasing, or manufacturing support
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and ability to work cross-functionally
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in supply chain, Business, or related field
• Experience in an electronics or engineering manufacturing environment
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production workflow across Production, Quality, Stores & Traffic, and Procurement teams
• Support production planning and scheduling to meet timelines and contract requirements
• Obtain and evaluate quotes for materials and services
• Analyze inventory levels and material requirements to support production needs
• Monitor supply chain activity to identify shortages, delays, or risks
• Communicate schedule changes or material issues impacting production
• Maintain accurate data in systems to support planning and reporting
• Assist in improving processes related to material flow and production efficiency
