About The Position

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials from suppliers according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material needs through building and maintaining ERP systems. Impacts departmental operations and is responsible for planning and execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within SAP. Interface with multiple stake holders to build and maintain SAP material masters and build of materials. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years (material planner) experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, and purchasing needs.
  • Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs.
  • Optimize inventory and process improvements.
  • Broadening knowledge of SAP systems and department needs to execute policy/strategy.
  • Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
