About The Position

The Material Planner at BSH Home Appliances Corporation is responsible for ensuring component availability to support factory production schedules, customer service assemblies, and accessories. This role involves managing procurement through analysis, calculations, and effective communication with vendors, while applying supply chain management strategies to optimize costs and delivery. The Material Planner will also lead continuous improvement projects, drive supplier performance, and ensure compliance with corporate policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business.
  • 0-2 years of experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain theories and lean philosophy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and act on data with minimal supervision.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree (MBA or related field)
  • Certifications in Problem Solving (e.g., Red-X, 8D, PDCA, 6-SIGMA)
  • Project Lead certification
  • Supply Chain certification (e.g., APICS)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure component availability to support factory production schedules.
  • Manage procurement of components through calculations and vendor communication.
  • Apply supply chain management strategies to optimize cost vs. delivery.
  • Define and implement inventory strategies to maximize operating efficiency.
  • Utilize problem-solving methodologies to address deviations from standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects targeting safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.
  • Drive supplier performance improvement and manage procurement effectively.
  • Define terms and conditions for suppliers and participate in supplier selection.
  • Comply with corporate policies regarding conduct and safety.
