About The Position
The Material Planner (service & 3PL) position is part of the Supply Chain & Logistics department at the Kings Mountain Operations (KMO) plant. This position is responsible for managing 3PL vendor and managing Service/distribution customer base. The role involves performing order handling/expediting functions and daily parts maintenance, inputting service demand in the MRP system, leading weekly production meetings, communicating organizational expectations, hosting effective meetings with suppliers, scheduling service pickups, providing customer-focused responses, preparing and analyzing reports, resolving parts discrepancies, serving as a liaison between departments, participating in cross-functional teams, and working on continuous improvement through the Volvo Production System.
