About The Position

The Material Person Journeyman at Bechtel Corporation is responsible for managing materials and equipment within the warehouse and job site. This role involves communication with various teams to ensure proper inventory management, storage, and delivery of materials, while adhering to safety and operational standards.

Requirements

• Typically requires 48 months of industrial construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with Material Person craft and others to perform job tasks.
• Inventories against purchase order to ensure proper equipment and materials are received in satisfactory condition.
• Stores, retrieves, loads, and unloads all types of materials from storage bins, pallets, and vehicles.
• Moves materials from warehouse and prepares for delivery to job site.
• Pulls materials for job site requirements or material move requests.
• Stores equipment in designated areas and maintains appropriate records.
• Keeps running log of all consumable items used and reorders as needed.
• Retrieves and issues materials upon receipt of material request and maintains appropriate records of movements.
• Maintains warehouse locations including main, remote, or tool room, i.e., sweeping, painting, cleaning, etc. as requested.
• Adheres to all safety procedures.
• Adheres to Bechtel Standard Work Processes and Procedures (SWPPs).
• Participates in STARTT Card discussions on a daily basis.
