About The Position

The Material Operations Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations associated with plant material flow on the production floor. This role directly supports daily production, acting as the centralized resource for the Plant Production Operations Centers, Safety, Quality, Engineering, and the Material Logistics Management (MLM) Production Control Operations team. The Material Operations Manager is also responsible for directly managing a cross-functional team of salaried non-bargaining employees, accountable for employee hiring, training, performance, and retention. This position participates in and promotes lean Stellantis Production Way activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused in production control, supply chain or material handling
  • Ability to demonstrate lean manufacturing knowledge and application
  • Ability to direct the workforce and deliver results on Key Performance Indicators
  • Experience in resolving conflicts with professionalism and integrity
  • Ability to adapt and manage change to support business needs
  • Strong understanding of the systems and procedures related to production control, supply chain or material handling
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Manpower Management including Salary Employee Hiring, Training, Performance, Stellantis Production Way Involvement and Retention
  • Responsible for leading material throughput improvement initiatives and downtime mitigation activities
  • Participates in Stellantis Production Way Lean Management activities for the Logistics Customer Service (LCS) Pillar including use of lean tools and methodologies and the completion of kaizen projects
  • Leads Safety, Quality and Cost initiatives set forth by the Plant and Corporate
  • Interacts with all levels of the organization including bargaining and non-bargaining hourly and salary employees as well as executive leadership
