About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical Sector – Power Distribution & Controls Assemblies (PDCA) business is seeking a dynamic Material Operations Manager to join our manufacturing site leadership team in Omaha, Nebraska. Relocation assistance will be provided. Our non-union site has over 160+ employees that work across 2 shifts. This complex site is responsible for large scale, ETO, power assemblies, as well as welding, machining, and painting. In this role you will: Lead the ERP transition for the supply chain function and support the ERP transition for the site. Work collaboratively with the IT and other project participants during the ERP integration for a successful transition. Lead the supply chain and material management during plant expansion project. Manage a team consisting of a scheduler, buyers, material handlers, and warehouse associates Responsible for managing materials flow and transactions inventory to support the plant’s operations by deploying lean material flow. Identify and lead supplier resiliency projects that reduce single sourcing and supplier delivery risks for the site Responsible for the administration of Indirect and MRO purchasing function according to policies and practices determined by Eaton standards. Escalate material availability to the Center of Excellence (COE) and Network teams Lead the layout and design of the warehouse in plant expansion project. Develop the planning, purchasing, and warehouse team to support operations and growth of the site. Mature the site’s planning, purchasing, along with process discipline at the site related to the material operations, warehouse, and logistics team. Responsible for maintaining target inventory levels and meeting OTD goals for both internal and external customers and overall freight targets (including premium freight) aligned with the plan defined by the network Responsible for monitoring execution of production schedule defined by the Network (schedule labor on factory floor, monitor execution of the production plan) Drive forecast attainment aligned with the schedule resulted from the SIOP plan Champion and deploy continuous improvement leveraging tools such as internal assessments (MMA,OPA), visual management, standard work and value stream mapping

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management developing and controlling production schedules and inventory levels
  • Minimum of two (2) years of direct leadership experience
  • Proven experience of ERP and procurement processes (SAP Preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, systems or finance
  • Master’s degree in engineering, MBA, supply chain, systems or finance
  • Minimum 3-5 years of previous supply chain supervision and leadership experience
  • Prior experience integrating an ERP transition, S4/HANA highly preferred
  • Microsoft Excel, advanced knowledge preferred
  • APICS / CPIM Certification
