About The Position

The Low Voltage Material Manager at Linx is responsible for overseeing the procurement, coordination, tracking, and distribution of low-voltage materials for multiple projects. This role ensures materials are ordered accurately, delivered on time, stocked properly, and aligned with project budgets and schedules. The Material Manager will work closely with project managers, field teams, warehouse personnel, and vendors to support smooth project execution and operational efficiency. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or similar).
  • 3–5 years of experience in material management, procurement, or warehouse operations, with direct experience in a high-volume Distribution Center (DC) environment required.
  • Proven expertise with low-voltage materials, tools, and components, including structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/fiber), access control, CCTV, AV, wireless systems, pathways, hardware, and related installation materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage inventory, receiving, staging, and fulfillment processes specific to low-voltage or technology-integration projects.

Responsibilities

  • Review drawings, submittals, and BOMs to determine low-voltage material, tools, and component requirements.
  • Source, price, and procure low-voltage materials; manage purchase orders, approvals, budgets, and supplier negotiations.
  • Maintain inventory and coordinate with DC/warehouse staff on receiving, stocking, staging, and fulfillment of low-voltage materials.
  • Oversee DC storage standards, returns, warranty claims, and damaged goods.
  • Collaborate with project teams to forecast low-voltage material needs and ensure timely delivery to job sites.
  • Track long-lead and specialty low-voltage items; prepare material kits and pre-build packages for field installation.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships; evaluate performance and identify alternatives for low-voltage components.
  • Coordinate deliveries, freight, and logistics, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the DC environment.
  • Maintain organized purchasing records and provide regular procurement and inventory reports.
  • Support improvements in material management processes, DC workflows, and best practices for low-voltage operations.
