About The Position
Primoris Power Delivery is seeking a Material Manager to oversee the supply chain and inventory processes essential for meeting production and operational requirements. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all materials and supplies are available, efficiently managed, and aligned with the company's cost control and quality standards. The Material Manager will be responsible for planning, sourcing, purchasing, storing, and distributing materials, while also maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The Material Manager will develop and implement strategies for material procurement, storage, and distribution, monitoring inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess. This includes forecasting material requirements based on production schedules and historical data. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers is crucial, as the Material Manager will resolve any issues related to quality concerns and delivery delays. In addition to procurement responsibilities, the role involves overseeing the logistics and distribution of materials, ensuring efficient handling and storage to prevent damage or loss. The Material Manager will implement quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing materials, working closely with quality assurance teams to address any defects or issues. Team management is also a key aspect of this position, as the Material Manager will supervise and mentor staff, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure compliance with documentation and record-keeping related to material transactions and inventory levels.
