About The Position

This position involves working a night shift on a 2-2-3 schedule, where the employee will manually load a variety of materials into various recycling machines to meet established goals. The role requires the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, hand tools, and power tools to load materials into empty storage bins and boxes. Responsibilities include maintaining a consistent feed of material into the machine, assisting the recycling operator when necessary, and completing necessary paperwork throughout the shift, such as production data and PM logs. The employee must maintain a clean and organized work area, assist with machine cleaning and operator PMs, and inspect the quality of incoming materials, notifying the lead or supervisor of any non-conformities. Proper labeling of finished goods and staging of materials is also required, along with participation in meetings at shift change and month-end inventories. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • General understanding of work areas: Extrusion, Granulation, and Compounding.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Background in extrusion, shredding, grinding is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal communications.
  • Effective and efficient time management, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Obtain forklift license through Axjo training program.
  • Ability to use basic hand/power tools following safety guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in extrusion, shredding, grinding.

Responsibilities
