About The Position

NEW OPPORTUNITY at Western Windows in Phoenix, AZ. Material Handler Technician (Glass) Hourly Pay Rate starting at $19.00! 1st Shift - Monday - Friday (5am - 1:30pm) OT may be required. The Material Handling Technician will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials within our manufacturing facility. This role requires excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in material handling, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing setting.
  • Dependable, punctual, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport raw materials, components, and finished products using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are stored in an organized and accessible manner. Perform regular stock checks and report any discrepancies.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of materials and products from trucks and shipping containers. Ensure proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Inspect materials for damage or defects and report any issues to the appropriate department. Help maintain high-quality standards.
  • Move materials to various production areas as needed to support manufacturing processes. Ensure materials are available for production on time.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on material handling equipment. Report any issues or concerns to the maintenance department.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including production, quality control, and logistics, to ensure a seamless flow of materials and products.
