The following are essential job accountabilities: 1. Receives, inspects and stores subsistence and assists in monthly inventory of subsistence. 2. Issues high dollar subsistence to kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 3. Keeps storage rooms, freezers, walk-in and reach-in refrigerators clean and rotates subsistence on the first in first out principle. 4. Receives and stores cleaning supplies, ensuring that the storage areas are clean and neat in appearance. 5. Maintain supplies in storage cabinets for daily usage. 6. Coordinates with Stock Clerk for cleaning supplies. 7. Maintains absolute confidentiality on all proprietary information and information related to Food Service matters, except as specifically directed. 8. The Material Handling laborer is delegated the authority for appropriate actions within the limits of approved policies, regulations and procedures to accomplish his/her assigned duties. 9. Perform other duties as assigned. 10. Perform daily inventory checks to assist Stock Clerk with ordering of subsistance. 11. Maintain accountability book daily. 12. Post kitchen requisitions into AFMIS-DFO subsystem meal production after meals. 13. Participate in cross-training programs to increase proficiency in assigned duties ; developes required skills to qualify for advancement.
