About The Position

The Material Handler position is a multipurpose role that supports manufacturing operations by supplying components and subcomponents to production lines in a safe and timely manner using a forklift or tow motor. This position is for the 2nd shift and offers a pay rate of $18.00 plus a $1.50 shift differential. A valid driver's license is required, and no high school diploma or GED is necessary. The role includes 14 paid holidays and 3 weeks of paid time off annually, with weekly payroll and insurance benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401k match.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Basic grammar and math skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Move materials and products to and from the work areas of pre-determined production lines.
• Safely operate a forklift/tow motor in line with safety procedures.
• Obtain forklift certification.
• Work with the department to ensure a clean and neat environment compliant with 5S philosophy.
• Communicate with supervisor, line leader, specialist, and fellow team members as necessary.
• Work in a safe and timely manner.
• Demonstrate basic grammar and math skills.
• Comply with physical requirements.
• Work a standard 40-hour week with overtime as required by management.
• Respond to additional work assignments when requested.
• Perform all essential functions in a timely manner under typical production schedules.
• Perform production line work when needed.
• Exhibit excellent teamwork and the ability to lead and follow directions.
