About The Position

The Material Handler position is a multipurpose role that supports manufacturing operations by supplying components and subcomponents to production lines in a safe and timely manner using a forklift or tow motor. This position is for the 2nd shift and offers a competitive pay rate of $18.00 per hour, with an additional $1.50 shift differential for working the 2nd shift. The role requires a valid driver's license and does not require a high school diploma or GED. Employees will receive weekly payroll and are entitled to 14 paid holidays and 3 weeks of paid time off annually. Insurance benefits include medical, dental, vision, and a 401k match.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Must demonstrate basic grammar and math skills.
• Must comply with physical requirements as specified.

Responsibilities

• Moving materials and products to and from the work areas of pre-determined production lines.
• Safe operation of forklift/tow motor, in line with safety procedures.
• Obtaining forklift certification as required.
• Working with the department to ensure a clean and neat environment compliant with 5S philosophy.
• Working with minimal supervision in a team environment.
• Communicating with supervisor, line leader, specialist, and fellow team members as necessary.
• Working in a safe and timely manner.
• Demonstrating basic grammar and math skills, and passing a pre-employment screening if required.
• Complying with physical requirements as specified.
• Working a standard 40-hour week with overtime as required by management.
• Responding to additional work assignments when requested and performing all essential functions in a timely manner under typical production schedules, including performing production line work when needed.
• Being an excellent team player and demonstrating the ability to lead and follow directions.
