The Outbound Associates will be responsible for efficiently and accurately receiving products and shipping orders, ensuring they are processed, put away, and shipped in a timely and secure manner. This position includes cross-training responsibilities and requires a fast-paced work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to embrace change. Associates will receive in-house training for success in their roles, which may include forklift operation.

  • Drive an order picker to assigned bins, identifying proper items and quantities for all orders
  • Walk to assigned bins, identifying proper items and quantities for all orders
  • Ensure that all orders are picked properly in a timely manner with strong attention to detail
  • Use a scanner to verify and identify products and then load products onto a conveyor belt
  • Identify correct pallet size and downsize packaging to minimize shipping costs without sacrificing product quality
  • Prepare pallets for shipment by making sure the order is properly stacked, wrapped, and protected in transit
  • Operate wrap machines and adjust settings based on pallet size and weight
  • Label orders with appropriate stickers
  • Unload containers in a timely fashion, confirming item numbers and quantity of orders
  • Receive and stock inventory to fulfill orders as they are processed
  • Accurately identify carrier based off label on package
  • Move palletized product from non-con and fast track taping areas to load onto proper designated trucks
  • Efficiently stack packages into correct trailer based on carrier in an interlocking pattern
  • Safely operate and maintain warehouse equipment to carry out job duties
  • Adhere to attendance policy by maintaining regular, predictable on-site attendance
  • Clearly communicate with manager any issues or concerns that arise regarding work duties
  • Report any forklift issues to the Team Lead or Manager promptly
  • Meet or exceed the department standards for productivity and accuracy
  • Maintain a clean work area, including the removal of empty boxes from bins or aisles as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must be 18 or older
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Work a full shift which could range from 8-10 hours
  • Follow all codes of conduct, safety parameters, productivity, and quality standards, as well as attendance policy
  • Complete and pass all equipment training
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office- primarily excel, word and teams
  • Business proficiency in the ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well individually and in a team environment
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change
