  • Operate powered industrial truck/lift truck to move and organize inventory of 500 or more material pallets.
  • Receive new pallet shipments from suppliers and inspect them for damage.
  • Remove damaged units from inventory and inform the purchasing manager of needs for new purchases.
  • Perform daily lift truck inspections and complete a log sheet at the beginning of each shift.
  • Inspect, sort, and store pallets returned from the production facility.
  • Perform a physical count of all inventory twice per week and report findings to the purchasing manager.
  • Sort and load damaged pallets into an enclosed trailer for return to the supplier.
  • Operate a manual pallet jack to move empty pallets inside the return trailer.
  • Maintain yard cleanliness by removing scrap production material and garbage from the work area.
  • Manually lift and handle individual pallets weighing up to 50 lbs. several times per day.
  • Sweep the outdoor work area with an attachment to the lift truck.
  • Maintain a lift truck operator license and attend four hours of annual training for renewal.
  • Obtain Safe Work Practice certification and complete one hour of annual training.
  • Demonstrate excellent hand-eye and foot-eye coordination for safe operation of the lift truck.
  • Exhibit physical agility to turn and twist neck and torso up to 60 times per hour.
  • Possess basic math skills for counting extensive inventory.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for oneself and other workers.
  • Operate the truck and move material in a safe and professional manner in an outdoor environment.
