Position: Material Handler Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday 4:30 pm to 2:30 am Pay: $ 19.05 hr plus $ 1.00 shift differential In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

Requirements

  • A minimum of (1) one year's experience in order fulfillment as an Order Picker and Packer, including cross-trained skills across multiple departments.
  • Experience preparing product for safe shipment and verifying accuracy using computer, shipping label, and/or packing list.
  • Experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) is highly desired, with examples including JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, up to 90% of the shift.
  • Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred.
  • Six months warehouse experience, preferred.
  • Six months forklift operation experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate powered equipment for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product.
  • Check all inbound and outbound products for damage and infestation.
  • Ensure product code dates are properly recorded and products match customer requirements.
  • Physically load product onto equipment, pallets or totes more than 20% of specified shift.
  • Put-away and pick product for shipment or stock, ensuring accuracy in quantity and type of products.
  • Compare quantity, quality, labeling, and address with customer's order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
  • Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
  • Verify and report discrepancies such as non-available products and OS&D.
  • Maintain the facility and equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion and inspect all operated equipment daily.
  • Complete daily inspection of equipment.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
