About The Position

The Material Handler will perform tasks related directly to the receipt, warehousing, control, packaging and issue/shipment of manufactured products and vendor acquired material and supplies. This role includes picking up pieces of graphite, measuring and weighing them, and documenting measurements. The Material Handler will also move graphite into and out of manufacturing cells, follow production orders, and maintain a clean and safe work area while adhering to safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in related field preferred.
• Able to read and write the English language.
• Able to safely lift 50 pounds.
• Dependability with flexibility to work shifts, over-time, and weekends.
• Ability to critically think and use problem-solving skills.
• Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical.

Nice To Haves

• Personal experience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment.
• Capacity to comply with U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities

• Pick up pieces of graphite, measure them, and weigh them.
• Document measurements and record information on a form.
• Move graphite into and out of manufacturing cells as required.
• Follow instructions on production orders to ensure graphite is moved through the proper process.
• Perform preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned to support the overall organization.
• Comply with ISO Policy, Procedure and Work Instructions, and maintain order and cleanliness of Warehouse premises.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and perform duties in a safe manner.
• Communicate potential hazards immediately to supervisor or EHS.
